1.International Tango Festival in Latvia „Tango Sun Latvia 2008” in Jurmala welcomes two ensembles of young musicians. The tango duet from Argentina - Jonatan Blaty and Roman Gomez - will play on Friday, 1st August, and trio „Muzet Royal” from Germany - on Saturday, 2nd August.
Jonatan Blaty & Roman Gomez (Argentina)
Bandoneon player, guitarist and singer Jonatan Blaty and guitar player Roman Gomez are two young, talanted musicians and composers from Argentina. Jonatan and Roman are well-known also in Europe (Italy, Greece, Germany, Belgium etc.), where they regularly give concerts – solo and with different musicians - with great success.
In September 2007, Jonatan Blaty was already in Latvia where the ensemble „Tango Duo” - Jonatan Blaty and guitarist Andres Ludmer - was playing during Friday milonga in Riga, the Culture and Martial Arts Centre „Heiankai” and received very good recogniton from tango dancers and listeners.
In the Tango Sun Festival in Jurmala Jonatan and Roman will play music from Argentinian tango classics, music of Astor Piaccolla and other contemporary compositions with some influence of jazz.

Trio „Muzet Royal” (Germany)
Passionate tango in Buenos Aires, romantic walk in Paris, gipsy wedding near the camp-fire – it is only some musical „stories” what the trio „Muzet Royal” from Berlin is „telling” in its concerts. These are stories full of poetry, longings, joy and pasion, stories for dancing, listening and dreaming.
Trio „Muzet Royal” consists of three young, talented and beautiful musicians – accordeon player Sirid Heuts, violonist Helen Bauerfeind and contrabass player Katharina Richter.
In the Tango Sun Festival in Jurmala trio „Muzet Royal” will play different music for listening and dancing – traditional, classic tangos, valses and milongas, as well as wonderful music from various countries and nations (French, German, Italian, Gipsy etc.).

Every festival evening there will be a milonga with well-known tango DJs – DJ Carsten Heveling, DJ Andreas Binninger and DJ Andreas von Maxen (all from Germany) - and DJ Aigars from Latvia.
